Where Are My Miles?
Last updated December 5, 2025
If you’ve made a booking and are waiting for those miles to show up, you’re not alone. Here’s a clear and simple breakdown of how long each type of transaction takes, why some miles take a little longer, and what might cause delays.
How Long It Takes
Different partners report miles on different timelines, so posting speed can vary. Here’s what you can typically expect:
Shopping
Miles generally post 30–100 days after your purchase. This longer window accounts for return and cancellation periods, so partners don’t award miles on items that get sent back.
Hotels
Hotel posting times vary based on what type of booking you’ve completed.
Rove Rates:
- Nonrefundable bookings: Miles post immediately
- Refundable bookings: Miles post within 1 day after checkout
Loyalty Eligible:
- Nonrefundable and refundable bookings: Miles post 6 weeks after checkout
Flights
- Miles post only after your flight has been completed
Common Delays
If you’re past the expected window and still don’t see your miles, there are a few common culprits:
- The order was canceled or refunded: Miles can’t be awarded on transactions that don’t stick.
- The booking wasn’t started through Rove: Partners only track activity that begins from the Rove site or app. If you visited the partner directly first, the miles may not track.
- You switched devices mid-booking: Tracking breaks if you start a purchase on one device and finish on another. Always complete the transaction on the same device you started with.
