How Do I Link My Airline Rewards Program?
Last updated December 2, 2025
When you book a flight on Rove, you can earn both Rove Miles and airline loyalty miles. However, to receive airline miles, you must link your booking to your airline’s rewards account.
You won’t link loyalty programs inside Rove. Instead, you’ll use your airline confirmation code (PNR) to add your trip directly to the airline.
Below is the step-by-step process.
How to Link Your Airline Rewards Program
After booking a flight on Rove, you’ll receive two codes:
- Rove booking reference
- Airline confirmation code (PNR)
The PNR is the code you’ll use to connect the booking to your airline loyalty account.
Step 1: Locate Your Airline Confirmation Code (PNR)
Your PNR is included in your Rove booking confirmation email and shown in your “My Trips” section.
Step 2: Log In to Your Airline Loyalty Account
Go to your airline’s website or mobile app and log in to your rewards account (e.g., Flying Blue, Etihad Guest, Miles&Smiles, etc.).
Step 3: Add Your Booking
In your airline account, look for one of the following:
- “Add Booking”
- “Manage Trip”
- “My Trips”
- “Add Flight”
Enter your:
- Last name, and
- Airline confirmation code (PNR)
This will pull up your flight details.
Step 4: Enter Your Frequent Flyer Number
Once the trip loads:
- Add or confirm your frequent flyer number
- Save the update
Your booking is now linked to your loyalty account.
When You’ll Earn Airline Miles
Airline miles will post after you complete the flight, following the airline’s own posting timelines and fare rules. Rove does not control airline mileage posting or eligible fare classes.
Common Questions
Do I link airline loyalty programs inside Rove?
No. Rove does not store or link airline loyalty numbers internally. All loyalty linking is done directly through the airline’s website or app.
What if the airline won’t recognize my PNR?
This can happen with partner-issued tickets. If the airline you’re flying won’t accept the code:
- Look up your reservation on the operating carrier (the airline flying the plane), or
- Share your booking details with Rove Support at support@rovemiles.com and we’ll help retrieve the correct operating-carrier confirmation code.
Can Rove add my frequent flyer number for me?
No. Airline systems require the traveler to add or edit loyalty details directly through their site or app.
