How to Cancel a Refundable Booking on Rove

This guide explains how to cancel eligible hotel and airline bookings made through Rove, how refunds work, and what to expect after submitting a cancellation request.

How to Cancel a Refundable Hotel Booking

You can cancel a refundable hotel reservation directly through your Rove account. Non-refundable bookings or bookings past the cancellation deadline cannot be canceled.

Step 1: Log In

  1. Go to rovemiles.com
  2. Select Sign Up
  3. Enter your mobile number
  4. Verify using the OTP sent to your phone

Step 2: Go to My Trips

  1. Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner
  2. Select My Trips
  3. Choose the hotel reservation you want to cancel

Step 3: Open Your Reservation

Review your:

  • Room type
  • Dates
  • Cancellation window
  • Refund policy

Step 4: Scroll to Cancel Booking

If eligible, a Cancel Booking button will appear at the bottom of the page.

  1. Click Cancel Booking
  2. Confirm your choice

If the button is missing, the booking is:

  • Non-refundable, or
  • Past the cancellation deadline

Hotel Refund Processing Times

Miles Refunds

Miles return to your Rove account within 24–48 hours.

Card Refunds

If you paid partially or fully with a credit/debit card, expect 5–10 business days for the refund to appear. Timing depends on your bank.

Canceling Airline Bookings

Airline cancellations must follow airline fare rules, and the process differs from hotels. Some fares are refundable, some offer travel credit, and many cannot be refunded at all.

Rove cannot process airline cancellations directly through the website. Instead, our team submits the request to the airline for you.

Types of Airline Cancellations

Refundable Fares

You may cancel if your fare includes flexibility. Some airlines also offer free cancellation within 24 hours of booking (U.S. carriers generally do).

Non-Refundable Fares

  • Typically not refundable
  • Some airlines may offer travel credit instead, subject to their policies

How to Request a Flight Cancellation

Step 1: Contact Rove Support

Choose one of the following:

Live Chat: Use the chat box on Rovemiles.com

Email: Send your request to support@rovemiles.com

Include:

  • Your airline confirmation code (PNR)
  • Your full name
  • The flight you want to cancel
  • Whether you are seeking a refund or travel credit

Step 2: Rove Contacts the Airline

  • Rove submits the cancellation request to the airline
  • Airline review time is typically up to 48 hours
  • We will notify you of the outcome, including:
  • Refund eligibility Travel credit availability Airline-imposed change/cancellation fees

All decisions are determined by the airline’s fare rules.

Airline Refund Timing

If your airline approves a refund:

Miles Refunds

Miles used for the booking are returned to your Rove account within 24–48 hours after the airline processes the cancellation.

Card Refunds

Card refunds follow airline timelines and usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
